Provenance & data use
ADHCrafts may collect provenance information for fleece, fibre, yarn and small-batch fibre projects. This helps record where fibre has come from, how it should be described, and how finished fibre or yarn can be labelled honestly.
Provenance information may include details such as fibre type, breed, shearing year, farm or flock name, animal name, region, animal care notes, landcare notes and permission preferences.
This is not about judging farming practice. ADHCrafts understands that every farm, smallholding and flock is different, and that organic, regenerative and agroecological systems can be costly and complex. The aim is to support traceability, animal welfare values, responsible fibre sourcing and respectful storytelling. Working with Fibreshed south west and Farmer's Yarn provide a set of values and promises around the welfare of the animals and the wider natural habitat's and land used.
The information gathered helps to identify which organisation you most align with, with an option of recommendation to join one or the other as a member, as well enabling you and myself to use the logos of the organisations as a mark of value and trust within the wider community and members of public.
Personal details are used to manage the fibre record, order or project. They will not be sold to marketing companies. Public use of farm names, animal names, photos or fibre stories will only happen where permission has been given.
ADHCrafts uses this information to:

This information is used to manage your enquiry or project and is not sold to anyone.
